Sakazakii is a chromogenic medium recommended for the selective isolation and differentiation of
Cronobacter (Enterobacter) sakazakii from other members of the family Enterobacterales based on colony color.
Features and Benefits:
- C. sakazakii produces smooth, blue-green colonies on HardyCHROM™ Sakazakii as a result of unique bacterial enzyme
interactions with chromogenic substances.
- Other members of the
Enterobacterales family will produce
white or colorless colonies with or
without black centers.
