A complete microwell format identification panel for identifying all Listeria spp., no additional materials required.
Substrates included conform to all international standards. Enhanced built-in hemolysis test, no blood plate required.
Validated for chromogenic media, and no sub-culture necessary from selective media. AOAC-RI validated. CMMAS assessed and approved by Microgen®.
The Microgen Listeria-ID system employs 12 standardized micro well substrates combined with the Microgen Identification System Software to identify members of the genus Listeria:
The above organisms can be identified from selective or non-selective agar using Microgen Listeria-ID. Identification is achieved using all of the tests recommended in international standard methods for the identification of Listeria spp. without the need for additional confirmatory tests.
Each Microgen Listeria-ID microwell strip contains 11 dehydrated substrates for the performance of carbohydrate utilization tests and one empty well for the performance of a haemolysin reaction. The selection of the substrates included in the test panel is based on a combination of those substrates recommended in international standard methods plus additional tests which either confirms the isolate being tested as belonging to the genus Listeria.
Identification of isolates is achieved by recording the results visualized by a color change after 18-24 hours incubation. Hemolysin reagent and suspension fluid is included in the kit.
These results are then analyzed using the Microgen Identification System Software (MID-60), which is available to all Microgen users upon request for free.
